What type of investor are you? How should you approach investing your money? Take our quick survey and find out!

1. How do you feel about making the investment decisions for your retirement account?
I feel very comfortable. (I know exactly what I want to do.)
I would like to make my own decisions if I had more information and a better understanding of investing.
I do not understand investing or do not have the time to stay current on market trends and would rather have an investment professional looking after my account.
I want to look at my account every 6 to 12 months and take my chances.

2. Which of the investment approaches listed below are you most comfortable with?
You like to invest your money and leave it alone for very long periods of time with little ongoing effort and take what the market gives you.
You like to take control of your investments and make changes yourself based upon what's happening in the market.
If you could hire a professional money manager to look after your account for a reasonable price you would do it. You don't have the time, knowledge or desire to manage your investments.

3. How often are you willing to do research to make informed investment decisions?
Every 6 to 12 months, or after major life events, such as marriage.
Once or twice per month.
As little or as often as you choose.

4. What would cause you to make changes to your portfolio?
I would rather have someone knowledgeable about investing make the decisions.
As market conditions change.
To rebalance your portfolio or as your risk tolerance changes.

5. How do you make investment decisions when the market is rapidly changing direction?
I wouldn't realize there was a market change, as I don't pay close attention to my account.
I feel pressured to make an investment decision to avoid missing a major decline or rally that could cause me to lose money or gain less than I could have.
I wouldn't worry about it because my asset allocation choices will take care of me over the long term.
I would feel more comfortable knowing that an objective investment professional was making these decisions for me.
If you don't have the time, knowledge or desire to manage your own investments, an investment professional can do it for you. More Information
